HOWTO: Get rid of the Votes box in InstantSpot
"How-To"sTurning off voting for all of your past blog entries doesn't have to be time-consuming and tedious!
Just go into the Control Panel, click "Site Design", click the "Style Editor" tab (or click here), and add the following line to your CSS:
.votecontainer{display:none;}
Voila!

I think you can also just disallow voting when you create/edit your post. I haven't posted to my Spot in a while, but I think I remember seeing a checkbox for just that purpose.
